Altra Top of Utah Marathon 2018
The Altra Top of Utah Marathon starts at Hardware Ranch, in the Wasatch Mountains southeast of Logan, Utah. Hardware Ranch is a wildlife management area where wild elk are fed during the winter to keep them from roaming into Cache Valley, where Logan is located. From Hardware, the race winds down beautiful Blacksmith Fork Canyon, passing river banks, marshes, limestone outcroppings, fall foliage, and cool canyon vistas. Moose, elk, deer, and many other species of wildlife make the canyon their home. Reaching Cache Valley at mile 14, the course follows mostly side roads through the small communities of Nibley, Millville, Providence, and River Heights before ending at Merlin Olsen Park, in Logan. Before the race, runners are bused from the park to the start line. The course is USAT&F-certified, which means it can be used to qualify for the Boston Marathon, and it has a net elevation drop of 1,045 ft. We are dedicated to bringing you a top quality and enjoyable event and we are sure you will enjoy your stay in Cache Valley.

The Grand to Grand Ultra
The Grand to Grand Ultra is a unique event – the first and only self supported stage footrace in North America.

However its uniqueness does not stop there. It is the first stage race to start from the awe inspiring north rim of the Grand Canyon, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, and finish on the summit of the Grand Staircase, one of the world\'s most iconic geological formations. The course takes you through a desert landscape of sand dunes, red rock canyons, buttes, mesas and hoodoos. You will navigate compelling slot canyons and cross a tributary of the Virgin River. Experience the remotest part of continental America in the way of the earliest settlers, Navajo and Paiute Indian tribes. This is where Montezuma\'s gold is still reputed to be buried.

Observe nature up close in an environment rich in flora and wildlife – from unusual and threatened cacti to big horn sheep to the endangered California Condor, the largest bird in America.

Challenge yourself in the company of an international group of participants who are all eager to complete a world class course, one which has been experienced by very few people.
And party in luxury in Las Vegas after you emerge from the desert! This will be one awards ceremony you will not want to miss!

The Badcat Ultra Distance Triathlon
Every person needs, at least once in their lives, to suffer greatly.

A 390 mile, crew-supported point-to-point ultra-distance triathlon, the BADCAT is an adventure race for the tough, the gritty, and the goal-oriented. The race consists of 40 miles of kayaking, 250 miles of biking, and 100 miles of running. The bike and the run are almost entirely on dirt roads.

And when you finish, you'll return home knowing you are the baddest cat in your yard. Let'em eat that.

Competitors will be monitored by GPS tracking throughout the race. Officials will be dispersed throughout at various checkpoints.

Relay teams will share the course with one person doing the kayak, one person on the bike, one person closing it out with the run. Team-mates will tag out at the Transitions. Relay team members may crew for their team in addition to racing.

Tandem racing allows two people to race together. But they must stay together. Tandem entries should use a tandem kayak and tandem mountain bike. If tandem entries choose not to use tandem equipment, they'll be required to stay together on the course. **If you are racing tandem you should totally use the tandem equipment because it will make your lives much easier**

For true endurance badasses we bring the division of Kings: the Solo. All 390 miles, all on you. You'll be required to bring a crew with you and designate a Crew Chief.

The Course
Starting from Bullfrog, UT, at the Bullfrog Marina, racers will kayak west on Lake Powell to Iceberg Canyon. Turning around paddlers will return easterly to Bullfrog Marina (Transition 1) having covered 40 miles.

On the bicycles, racers will ride 248 miles north through the Capitol Reef National Park and the Manti-La Sal National Forest, to the Tie Fork Rest Area in Tucker, UT. Camping is encouraged along the bike course but riders are free to leave the course with their crews as needed (If you leave the course you MUST return to the same point before continuing with the race). All but a few miles of the bike section is on low-traffic dirt roads. Transition 2 will be at Tie Fork.

Leaving Tie Fork the run course is 105 miles with the middle 87 miles above 7500ft of elevation. 14,000ft of climbing, about 10 miles of trail, 1 mile of pavement, and the remainder on dirt roads.

Party at the finish at Camelot Resort campground in Fruitland, UT.
