BYU Homecoming Cougar Run
Come join us for a great activity. We start the event at 8:45 a.m. with the Kid's races on BYU's world-class track! Follow that with the 5K Run along the Homecoming Parade Route in front of all of the parade route spectators. Cap it off with our traditional blue pancakes at the track after the race! You don't want to miss it!

Kid's Races
We have 4 races each for boys and girls. Children ages 1-4 compete in a 200 meter run, ages 5-6 compete in a 400 meter run, ages 7-9 compete in a 800 meter run, and ages 10-12 compete in a one mile run. Members of the BYU Track team will encourage and escort the kids in the races.

5K Run
At 9:45 a.m. is the 5K Run. The course starts just north of the BYU Track on University Parkway going east and follows the Homecoming Parade Route as it loops campus and finishes on the track in front of the main stands. Prepare to be greeted by the smell of pancakes as our traditional blue pancakes are prepared and served by BYU track and field team members and alumni. A great time is always had by all!

Click on the logo above to go to www.byucougarrun.com for more detailed information, including the full time-schedule and a course map.

Pony Express Trail 50 and 100
Here’s your chance to run in the wild west on the historic Pony Express Trail in western Utah. This is a 100 mile and 50 mile run. The course is VERY remote and a support crew is required to provide support along the way. The course is 100% dirt road and only has about 3,000 feet elevation gain/loss.

This race is ideal for first-time 50 and 100-milers. Among all the 100-mile races held in 2010, this race had the highest age finishing average, so this race is also elderly friendly for those of us getting on in years who want to finish another 100-miler before the grim reaper arrives. There were lots of Personal Records in 2013. 100-milers, 18 finishers: 15 PRs (including 9 first-timers) 50-milers, 33 finishers: 28 PRs (including 20 first-timers) This is a fast course.
