Heber Valley Memorial Run
The Heber Valley Memorial Run will be held on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29, 2017. This charity event will benefit an organization, family, or individual in need in the Heber Valley community. We invite you and your friends & families to join us for this fun run/walk event on this special holiday. If you are not able to join us for the event and you want to help in another way, visit our Sponsors page.

Memorial Day is a time to reflect on those that are no longer with us. The goal of this event is to honor those people by raising money to help others. Participants have the chance to run or walk in honor of a person(s). A board will be available to write messages or post a picture to honor those special people. Participants can also wear a memorial shirt, hat, etc. in memory of a loved one.

In 2017, the funds raised benefited the Wasatch Community Foundation….again! Funds were raised in 2014 for this same group and we just love this cause. The money raised will be able to support generous scholarships for students in the community who want to further their education. Those scholarships will be awarded in May, 2018.

This event is organized in memory of Val, Kathy, and Quincy Draper, who passed away in May 2012.

Schedule:

Running Day 5K
Did you know that National Running Day is June 7, 2017!?! This is one day of the year where you can re-commit to being a runner, continue running, or choose to become a runner for the first time.

“If you run, you are a runner. It doesn’t matter how fast or how far. It doesn’t matter if today is your first day or if you’ve been running for twenty years. There is no test to pass, no license to earn, no membership card to get. You just run.” –John Bingham

To celebrate we are hosting a virtual RUNNER’S DAY 5K race, where you can choose to run a 5K to honor this special day and get a beautiful I LOVE RUNNING medal! We only have 500 medals available, so once they’re gone, they’re gone! Order NOW!

Along with celebrating RUNNING, we will also be donating at least 15% of every registration to Ainsley’s Angels, an incredible organization which “aims to build awareness about America’s special needs community through inclusion in all aspects of life.” This is definitely an organization that you must check out and see how you can get involved!
