Race Start: Mountainside Elementary School

The race is entirely on a paved surface. The starting line will be about one mile north of the Fairview Lakes Lookout at the top of Fairview Canyon on Highway 31, which is between mile markers 11 and 12. The race will begin at approximately the 9300 ft. level and proceed on an uphill grade for about 3 kilometers to the summit, which is just below the 10,000 ft. elevation level. It will then continue on a downhill grade for the next 7 kilometers to conclude at approximately the 9100 ft. level. The finish line will be at the parking lot of Huntington Reservoir Dam. There will be two aid stations, one located at the 3000 meter point and one at the 6000 meter point of the race, with water for the racers. There will also be a racers table of fruit and drinks at the finish. Parking is available at the starting line and transportation will be provided back to the starting line parking lot at the conclusion of the race.

1/2 Road 1/2 Trail 8K Run starts at City Creek Canyon. The race begins at the mouth of the canyon, we go up half the distance on the road, we then quickly connect on the trail, and begin bushwhacking our way down the City Creek Canyon Jungle, until reaching our final destination.

This event is a long time Park City tradition. Approximately a 16 +/- mile trail run from the base of Park City Mountain Resort (7000?) to the (literally) breathtaking top of Jupiter Peak (10,000?) and back, on the challenging single track trails found within the resort property. There are 5 aid stations with water, but carrying water is encouraged.

The Provo River Trail Half Marathon takes participants on a beautiful run down South Fork Canyon along a paved river trail that follows the Provo River. The downhill point-to-point course starts at Big Springs Park and features spectacular views of Mt. Timpanogos and the famous Bridal Veil Falls. The finish is at the Shops @ Riverwoods. Parking is only available at the finish area, so be prepared to arrive early and take a bus to the start line. Early registration is recommended, as the race tends to fill up quickly

A VERY, VERY challenging, difficult and scenic loop course through the Wasatch Mountains above Provo, Utah. About 42% will be on the same course as the Squaw Peak 50. These sections are Mile 2.1, Pole Heaven to mile 16.27, Rock Canyon and mile 24, just past Big Springs to mile 38.5 - Little Valley. The trail will be flagged just as well as the SP run. It will consist of - 48% dirt trails, 44% dirt roads and 8% paved. Elevation gain is 17,404 feet and loss is 17,404 ft. 13,000 FEET OF ELEV. GAIN BY MILE 28.5 IN 3 SEPERATE CLIMBS. THEN THE LAST HALF ONLY HAS ABOUT ANOTHER 4,000 FEET OF CLIMB

The course for this years Pine Valley race has moved out of town and will take place on Dixie National Forest Road past Grass Valley. It is out and back style with graded dirt road surface. This run is absolutely beautiful, and possibly my favorite run, but it is not easy! 15 Miler has significant elevation change with lots of short hills.

Imagine yourself and 11 friends running through 4 national forests (Cache Wasatch, Caribou, Targhee and Teton); along the historic Oregon Trail and shoreline of the Blackfoot Reservoir; through beautiful Star Valley; beside the Snake River and finishing at the foot of the Tetons, arguably the most beautiful mountain range in North America

The Minuteman 5K is Saturday, August 14, 2010. Race start time is 8:00 a.m. at Rio Tinto Stadium 9256 South State, Sandy, Utah. All proceeds go the Soldiers and Airmen who protect our freedom.

Start and finish at City Hall.

Race Begins at Knoll Park.

The Traverse Mtn. 9 miler starts on the Highland/ Alpine border and crosses over Traverse Mountain, down into the scenic Corner Canyon area of Draper City. The course begins on a wide dirt road, in a narrow canyon that climbs to the summit of Traverse Ridge. At the summit there are views of Salt Lake and Utah Counties. It is beautiful! From the summit, the trail takes you down Corner Canyon via Ghost Falls Trail. Ghost Falls Trail descends Corner Canyon through a wooded area of switchbacks on a single track trail. On this stretch of trail, the scenery is breathtaking and actually passes a flowing waterfall. Near the bottom, the trail opens up and begins to climb back towards the summit. Clark's trail ascends the grade in a shaded grove of trees that makes you feel like you are on the east coast rather than the deserts of Utah. At the summit you return to the race start point on a very fast 2.5 mile decline.

The third and final event in the PC MTS. Register for one or register for them all! Trail running is a great way to change up your daily routine and keep running interesting without committing to a marathon or a trail event that runs you to the top of a mountain and back down again.
