Do you want to come enjoy a fun 5K run with friends or family members? The 2nd Annual Race for Red 5K is a great way to enjoy time with others while participating in a 5K to raise awareness of heart disease.

All proceeds for the UDC 5K Fun Run & Walk go to the UDC Treasure Chest Program. This program provides financial assistance for patients who have no other means to pay for their medical care.

The 1st Annual "Stop Traffic" charity run at Liberty Park in downtown Salt Lake City will benefit the development of a "Hope House" in the red light district of Calcutta, India, facilitate safe housing for trafficking victims locally, and further the efforts of Operation 61 to increase collaboration amongst the many organizations fighting against human trafficking.

This will be an out and back route. The start/finish line will be at 1650 West 1500 North, Farr West UT.(Mountain View Park) Runners will proceed east on 1500 North to 1350 West and turn right onto 1350 West. Runners will continue south on 1350 West. This street curves and becomes 1200 North. Runners will continue (now running east) to 1200 West. Runners will turn right and run south on 1200 West to Bill Bailey Blvd and turn left. (goes into Weber County Fair Grounds-again running east). Runners will proceed east to 750 West, turning right. Runners will now be running north and will continue on 750 West to the parking area for the pavillion. Runners will then turn east and run through parking lot to Fairgrounds Drive. Then turn right and reverse this course ending at 1650 West 1500 N for finish line.

We will be holding the race at the Weber County Fairgrounds, by the West Entrance. The starting time for the race will be 7:00am.

The Pre-registration cost will be $10 individual or $25 for the Family; Family being Mom, Dad & kids at home( T-shirts will be given to Mom & Dad with family pass, others can be purchased separately); or $15 individual and $30 for the Family on the day of the race (you will be guaranteed a t-shirt for Pre-registration). The Park City Education Foundation is hosting a new relay race powered by Ragnar Events to raise funds AND awareness for our schools.

Relay teams of five will run a 41-mile route that visits all seven of Park City’s public schools. Each school will have a chance to show off their school spirit and the race will be open to EVERYBODY – beginners, competitive runners, families, baby strollers, speed walkers… Stretches of the race will vary in length (1.5 to 7 miles) and difficulties and runners can choose their portions.

It'll be a party at Newpark before and after! Woo-Hoo!

The Homestead Golden Road race will be held May 29, 2010---Registration is now open

Since 1982, Race Directors and the excellent Homestead Resort in Midway, Utah have sponsored the Homestead Golden Road Race in May. This 25 year tradition is a favorite run among many local residents as well as competitive runners throughout the state. The half mile kids races are incredibly popular in support of the beautiful 5k and 15k courses.

For a modest entry fee, participants receive free entry to the homestead resort pools and mineral baths as well as an attractive t-shirt and an excellent opportunity to win many drawing prizes such as a nights stay at the Homestead, free Sunday brunch at the resort, 18 holes of golf, horse back riding and more.
In addition, the Homestead offers a runners special for those associated with the race. Just mention that you are coming for the race and recieve your discount. Take a relaxing weekend and enjoy everything that the resort has to offer.

The Daybreak Tri is the kickoff for the 2010 Salt Lake Triathlon Series. The Daybreak Tri offers triathletes the only urban open water swim in the Salt Lake valley. The swim takes place in the new Oquirrh Lake at Daybreak and will offer a fast swim-to-bike transition. The bike course starts in Daybreak and goes past the Kennecott Copper mine and back. The run will take place inside of Daybreak on the fantastic trail systems around the lake. This race completely sold out in 2009 and became an instant classic in the Utah Triathlon scene. This unique venue offers spectators many opportunities to view different segments of the race.

Experience one of the most scenic and traffic free courses imaginable. The Sun Valley Half Marathon is a USAT&F sanctioned half-marathon (13.1 miles) and runs primarily along the City of Sun Valley and Wood River paved path system. The course starts and finishes in Sun Valley Village on the spacious grass field in front of the Sun Valley Pavilion.

Proceeds benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

The Crack of Dawn starts early in the morning as the sun rises over the Eastern Mountains overlooking Mill Creek Canyon. The course leads us down on the gingerly windy road until reaching the finish at Olympus Hills Shopping Center where we will have snacks, awards, a good morning workout and live music by Kevyn Dern.

Sprint and Olympic Distances on the south side of Willard Bay. Run is on dike and bike is around Plain City. USAT Sanctioned.

This is a race to benefit Rex, a 2 1/2 year old boy diagnosed with (DIPG) inoperable brain cancer. Donations can be given at the race. Youth shirt sizes are available, contact Emily Walton to get a youth t-shirt and toddler sizes!

Scenic Trail Run, this year using the new Upper Ghost Falls Trail along with Clarks Trail and other favorites. Choose from. 4,6,10 and 15 mile loops. Trail Run is a gentle trail in the trees, with many bridged stream crossings. The Corner Canyon Trails are really in Great shape this year.
