Pepsi Refresh Community Action 5K
Join us May 29, 2010 for the Pepsi Refresh Community Action 5K! This is our second annual 5K and all of the proceeds go to benefit residents of Utah, Wasatch, and Summit Counties who are in need of assistance from Community Action Services and Food Bank, the food bank that serves Utah County. The day’s events will include free food, T-shirts, music and lots of fun! Also, all participants will be entered into a raffle to win free prizes such as movie tickets, gift certificates to restaurants and much more!

Daybreak Triathlon: 2010 Salt Lake Triathlon Series
The Daybreak Tri is the kickoff for the 2010 Salt Lake Triathlon Series. The Daybreak Tri offers triathletes the only urban open water swim in the Salt Lake valley. The swim takes place in the new Oquirrh Lake at Daybreak and will offer a fast swim-to-bike transition. The bike course starts in Daybreak and goes past the Kennecott Copper mine and back. The run will take place inside of Daybreak on the fantastic trail systems around the lake. This race completely sold out in 2009 and became an instant classic in the Utah Triathlon scene. This unique venue offers spectators many opportunities to view different segments of the race.

Squaw Peak 50 Mile Trail Run
It is a very challenging, difficult and scenic loop course through the Wasatch Mountains above Provo, Utah. The trail will be marked. It consists of - dirt trails (43%), dirt roads (38%) and some paved (19%).

If you want to set a new personal record in the 5K, or simply want to run a fun and beautiful course with a little history, than this is the race. Much of the race is a gentle downward slope with some flat terrain and only a total of 0.2 miles has a slight uphill grade. This is not an out and back course but a point to point run through the heart of The Ranches community in Eagle Mountain. Much of the course is run where the historic Pony Express route used to be.

National Trails Day 2010 Fun Run
We are celebrating the newly completed trail connections that allow us to go from Ogden Canyon all the way through Riverdale on paved, river-side parkways! This trail is over 11 miles long, follows the Ogden and Weber Rivers, and meanders along several parks and ponds, the Ogden Botanical Gardens, two kayak parks, wetland areas, fishing spots, and the historic Ft. Buenaventura! The trails also connect three cities: Ogden, West Haven, and Riverdale.
The event will take place on the Weber River Parkway next to the Kingfisher Wetlands area and near the new Rail Road Underpass.

From 24th Street on the West side of RR Tracks
Head South on A Ave. to the dead end and park!
Walk South on the Parkway to the event.
(There will be signs to guide the way!)
