Description of Race Events

The BASH Winter Race Festival is a day full of racing on the snow! From the headlining National Championship Winter Triathlon (Run, Mtn. Bike, XC Ski) event...to the 5K Snowshoe Fun Run, there is something for everyone. Each race takes place on the professionally groomed XC ski trails of the World famous Soldier Hollow (former 2002 Winter Olympic Venue).

BASH is a perfect way to learn new sports, improve your base fitness, and expand your skills as a multi-sport athlete during the off-season.

Registration Fees:

- Early Online (Until 1/14/10) - $28
- Late On-Site (Late Race Day Registration) - $35

Packet Pick-Up & Late Registration:

Packet pick-up and late registration for all races will take place in a portable building that is located near the Comp Center in the Stadium. The Start/Finish areas for all events are also located just adjacent to this building.

- Snowshoe Fun Run - 1:30-2:30PM

Awards will go to the top 3 males and top 3 females overall in the 5K Snowshoe Fun Run. No Age-Group awards.

Additional Race Information

Pre-Race Meetings/Briefings:

There will be a pre-race meeting/briefing for each event 15 minutes prior to the start of that race. Information regarding the event will be presented and you will have the opportunity to ask questions. Those meetings will take place at start line areas.

Directions to Soldier Hollow Legacy Park:

2002 Olympic Drive P.O. Box 2002 Midway, UT 84049 From Salt Lake City: take I-80 East to Silver Creek Junction (exit 146). Go east on U.S. 40 past Jordanelle Reservoir toward Heber City. Take right turn on State Road 113 (100 South) to Midway. Take a left on 113 in Midway, and travel two miles. Turn right just before the railroad tracks and follow signs to Soldier Hollow. Located in Wasatch Mountain State Park, Soldier Hollow is about 53 miles from downtown Salt Lake City.

From Park City: Take State Road 248 East to U.S. 40 to Heber City and then follow U.S. 40 to Highway 189. Take 189 to State Road 113, turn right onto State Road 113. Follow 113 until right after railroad tracks, turn left and follow signs to Soldier Hollow. Located in Wasatch Mountain State Park.

From Provo: Take I-15 South to the Orem 8th north exit to US 189 drive east through Provo Canyon until you reach State Road 113. Turn left onto State Road 113, follow 113 until right after railroad tracks, turn left and follow signs to Soldier Hollow. Located in Wasatch Mountain State Park.
