Description of Race Events

What: Highway to Hale – 10k Run & 5k Run/Walk

When: Saturday, October 29, 2011 @ 10 AM (Check-in and race registration from 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM)

Where: Hale Center Theater Orem, 225 West 400 North, Orem
• All race routes proceed west of the theater and wind through neighborhoods before returning to the theater

Why: To celebrate Halloween and raise funds for new seats at HCTO

What do I get?
• 5k - One ticket voucher redeemable for two tickets to The 39 Steps, the first show of the 2012 Season; a tech shirt with the customized race logo and sponsors; a goodie bag filled with coupons, gift certificates and information; entrance to the post race refreshment area. All runners are also eligible for a prize drawing that will include the opportunity to win 2012 season tickets to HCTO, your name engraved on one of our new seats, and other great prizes.
• 10k – All the above, as well as, one additional ticket voucher redeemable for two tickets to Xanadu.

Cost: $25 for 5k run/walk; $35 for 10k run. $5 will be added to registration costs for all registrations received after 6:30 PM on Thursday, October 27.

Is my race entry fee tax deductible?
• As a 501(c)(3) public charity, any contribution to the Hale Center Foundation for the Arts and Education is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. (Federal Tax ID: 87-0665160).

What if the weather is bad?
• Races will proceed in all elements unless deemed unsafe by the race committee.

How do I sign up?
• Registration is now open at the Box Office. Entry forms can be downloaded (http://www.haletheater.org/Highway%20to%20Hale/2011%20H2H%20Entry%20Form.pdf), and then mailed, faxed (801-852-3189), or hand delivered to HCTO. All mailed-in entries must be received by Wednesday, October 26, 2011. Online registration is available at (http://webticketing.haletheater.org). Online registration will close Thursday, October 27 at 6:30 PM. Registration forms will continue to be accepted at the HCTO Box Office, both Friday and Saturday prior to the race, with a $5 late fee. Race day registration will begin at 8 AM and go until 9:30 AM.

Can I get a refund?
• There are no cancellations, refunds, or reimbursements of any kind.
