Description of Race Events

The Hurricane Half Marathon is sponsored by Hurricane City, Hillsports and other local businesses. If you’re familiar with Sand Hollow State Park, you'll appreciate the beauty and composure of this new route. If you have never seen this area, you are in for a real treat! Many local runners use this route as a conditioning run to train for the St. George Marathon. It's full of challenges and scenery. We hope you will join us this year.

Additional Race Information

Fees: Half Marathon $35 through 4/16, $40 thereafter Registration Closing Date: Monday, April 19, 2010 @ 6:30 AM Meeting Time: All participants will meet at the former Hurricane Elementary School, 63 South 100 West, Hurricane, UT. Buses will depart for the starting line promptly at 5:30 A.M. for the Half Marathon and 6:00 A.M. for the 5K. The races will begin at 6:30 A.M. and 6:50 A.M., respectively. Packet Pick-Up: To avoid standing in line at 5:00 a.m., we encourage all runners to obtain their packets between 11:00 a.m. thru 8:00 p.m. the day before the race at the former Hurricane Elementary School, 63 South 100 West, Hurricane, UT. Racing Shirts: Only runners who register by April 16th are guaranteed a Dri-Fit Performance racing shirt the day of the event Awards: Special awards will be presented to the top 3 over-all winners and the top 3 masters winners-male and female. 1st, 2nd & 3rd place prizes will be presented in each division. All participants will receive race bags with gifts!
