Description of Race Events
Race for the Cans is a 5K and 1 mile walk/ fun run designed to raise canned food for the Utah Food Bank. A minimum of 10 canned food items is required to participate. We are trying to raise 10,000 cans. There will be prizes for the top 10 donors including: iPod Nano, Playstation PSP, Browning hunting knives, outdoor canopies, Lifetime basketball hoop, and more! We invite those who don't want to race to come and donate to a worthy cause.
Additional Race Information
The course is the same one used for the North Ogden Cherry Days.
No need to register in advance. People can show up between 7:30-9:00 AM on Saturday, September 18, bring canned food donations, and run the race. We will have a race clock there. The prizes are for the top ten canned food donors and not for runner's times. |
