Description of Race Events
East High School and the PTSA welcome all fitness enthusiasts to participate in the second annual Running of the Leopards 5K on Saturday March 26, 2010 at 8:30 a.m. The race is a USATF certified course as well as a Utah USA circuit race. The course is designed for speed and will appeal to all levels of runners and walkers.
Over the past few years the students, faculty, staff and community of East High School have focused on becoming more physically fit. It all started when our new principal pledged to lose 100 pounds by graduation in 2008 (he did it!) and has continued with pedometers, fun runs, and our inaugural Running of the Leopards 5K last year.
Last year's race attracted over 700 registrants - elite runners, students, families, and the community. We invite all to participate in this year's community event. Set your alarm early on March 27. Race time is 8:30 a.m. Lace up your shoes and Run With the Leopards!!!
