Description of Race Events
Held on MEMORIAL DAY, the 2011 STATE CAPITOL HALF MARATHON is the choice training route for 1,000's of local runners. This point to point course is the most demanding, most scenic, and most rewarding half marathon you will do in city limits! The course features unsurpassed views of the Salt Lake Valley and views of the Utah STATE CAPITOL Building throughout most of the course. The STATE CAPITOL HALF Marathon features running on Parley's Trail and the legendary Bonneville Shoreline Trail. The course runs through the historic "Avenues" (11th Avenue) district and around City Creek with a FINISH in front of the Utah STATE CAPITOL Building. AMAZING! You've done some races, BUT never one like this - are you ready for the challenge? MEMORIAL DAY must do! See you racing!
